That is absolutely horrible. Isn't Philadelphia home to one of, if not the first public library in the US?!

I know PENNY. I practically lived in the library during my senior year in high school and in college (the campus library). I had so many research papers and
all for my major.

Philadelphia Free is one of the oldest free public libraries in the country. And it's more than just cutting hours. It's CLOSING IT DOWN for the
foreseeable future.
They're also closing down all rec centers, parks, doing trash pickup TWICE A MONTH, and cutting numbers of police and firemen if the state budget does not pass. Philly is screwed. Don't expect basic services if you live there. |
