I second the ginger candy. I get motion sick very easily and thats the one thing that really helps me.

I don't drink soda at all, I'll probably just bring my own green tea bags. I do drink a lot of booze, though. What's the best way to not spend an
arm and a leg on that? Only drink off the boat?

^^They must not be too picky on checking bags. It sounds like you can pretty much bring anything on the boat food & drink that it.

I would bring bonine, not dramamine, simply because dramamine makes you drowsy.

I've gone on both Royal Carribbean and Carnival. Take full advantage of all the free food. If you think you'll use the computer a lot, I'd buy the
package for $50 because I didn't think I'd end up using the computer the much and I did, so it would've been worth it to bring my own laptop and
buy the plan.

Check your onboard account every night. I had clients that spent a whole lot more than they expected because of the whole "cashless" purchases.
Make sure you are back on the boat an hour before it's ready to sail. Laugh at the people running to make it on board at the last second. Shore excursions are always cheaper when you get off the boat and go with a local vendor not contracted with the cruise line...that's at your own risk though. You can get the sea sickness patch and put it on before you get on ship and leave it on for a day or so after you get off the ship. If you're taking pills, start taking before hand and take them after. |

I had SO much fun on the cruise I went on in 01. Bring those motion sickness bracelets for when the boat is moving at night. Have fun!

Sounds like you'll have a great time
But yeah, I would take your own stash of medicine for the basics - Pepto, aspirin etc. You don't want to have to go visit the ship docs unless it's something more pressing |

For booze, buy some water bottles and pour the water out. Fill them up with white rum & vodka and pack them in your suitcase. Then just drink in your room.
