There's no way they will be as big as they were in the 90's/early 2000's and without Kevin it's just not the same. What are your thoughts?

i'm sure they still have fans and its better than doing nothing bc none of them have enough talent to make it on their own..why not

Their first comeback was a joke, what makes them think their second one will be any more successful then their failed first comeback.

Why is this a second comeback? They've been around actively for 5 years.

They still make millions from touring. Why would they stop if they are making millions from it? The cds are just an addition to the main touring revenue they
bring in.

I'm sure they'd rather be recording artists than do what anyone on JJB does for a living.
It's always funny to me when people on message boards suggest that famous millionaires should stop doing what they're doing. What should they do? Work beside you at your 9 to 5 job?

There's also being on TV shows as hosts or contestants if they would really like to still be in the limelight that way. Or even becoming a music producer. If they "really" wanted to make a comeback, they should've done it like the Spice Girls or New Kids On the Block and waited a lot longer to make it more of a big hit. |

NKOTB comeback was not successful though? In terms of their cd sales.
Being on tv shows as contestants?? What do you mean? Like they should join celebrity fit club or something? I think they are better off making cds than being a D list contestant on a tv show. |

They still have fans who see them tour, which brings in most of an artists' money. That's pretty much all that matters. If Nick had been successful
solo-wise, they wouldn't have been together still but he wasn't so....here they are.

Look at it this way.. they're easily each making several million a year and they get free stuff and get to go to a bunch of fancy parties for free. I
think they're doing pretty well for themselves and probably are enjoying their lives.

Yeah I am still a bit confused. Are you saying making MILLIONS per year and doing what you love is bad and they should stop? Would you stop?

Mistress Darcy wrote: I don't think it's bad, but I'm pretty sure besides BSB fans most would agree that it's a lost cause since they aren't and will never be as big as they were. They aren't like Aerosmith or Bruce Springsteen who have been successful for decades and can continue to make hit records/tours. Good for them if that's how they want to make income but it's like beating a dead horse... they're old news. |

Kappaxgirl wrote:I kind of don't get that logic, no offense intended of course. They were never trying to pretend to be Aerosmith or Bruce or whoever else, they're just a group of guys who love making music and still have millions of fans all over the world. Why do they have to stop if they're doing what they love, keep getting paid amazingly for it, and still have a large following? Most fans prefer that they aren't as huge as they were, because it makes the shows better. Just cause they make pop music (and sometimes cheesy at that) it doesn't mean they should stop just cause they came out in the 90's as a boyband. I don't think that's really fair. |

So I don't get your logic. If you were making a ton of money per year would you give a shit if people on a message board thought you were a lost cause? I
wouldn't. I would take my millions and love life.

I think they already know that their better days are behind them, comerically speaking. There are a lot of undiscovered acts out there who will never have 1/10th of the success that BSB had, but they continue making music because it's what they love to do. Obviously, BSB still has a passion for music, and I respect them for continuing on, even though they will never be able to duplicate their former level of success. I don't understand why people think a singer or band should just give up because they can't sell 10 million albums anymore. |

A lot of people will never even get a gold record in their life...would you want them to stop performing and doing things they love because they'll never
be successful to certain people's standards? You're just being deliberately obtuse now.
