I know it cost $25 to join, but is it really worth it? I was looking at the discounts and the major discounts seem to be on hardcovers which I rarely buy. Do
they send a lot of coupons out?

I don't think so. I was a member at one point but now I belong to Borders. It's free and they send you all kinds of stuff including a 30 or 40 percent
off at least once a month.

You get a 10% discount, so if you spend more than $250/year it would be worth it. I'm not sure about their coupons though.
Borders Rewards is free and they send out weekly coupons and you get $5 back whenever you spend $150. |

I agree with exclusivehoodie. I really like Borders' free program. If I was a really regular B&N customer I might, but I'm not sure how long it
would take to pay for itself. Borders sends great coupons via email (almost every day, it seems like).

Hmm. I rarely go to Borders, but if they have better deals, I just might have to switch.

My mom had the teacher one and she thought it was worth it because they got more than a regular member. That was the only reason we went to B&N because we
loved Border's.

like everyone else said. i love my borders rewards. i get coupons faster than i can spend them. last time i made a purchase it ended up only costing me $35
after all my coupons. it was online but i bought 3 books, one of them was $35 by itself, others were $20 and $15 so it was like i got 2 books for free. then i
got free shipping because it was over $25 order. its awesome!

The thing for me is that Barnes and Noble gives you the discount on their price along with any coupons you bring it. Borders, while free, the discount of 30%
or 40% is always off the list price. It's never off of the sale price. I think that's lame. So for me, it's definitely worth it to get the Barnes
and Noble membership.

The Barnes and Noble membership pays for itself in a view visits.
You get 20% off magazines, paperbacks, and 40% off hardbacks. It came in handy when I ordered my textbooks for classes b/c I had saved around $50 on each book and it had free shipping. We don't have a Borders here and frankly personally I don't like Borders. But we've been a member for about 5 years now and it's been well worth it! |

I always renew my membership at Barnes and Noble. It's totally worth it to me and the amount of books I buy...especially the 40% on the hardcover books. I
also get 10% on anything at the Starbucks in the store too which is handy. We just buy so many books in this house.

Yeah I think it depends on if you're a big book buyer. I usually buy, average, two books a month. So it pays off for me. I usually get the money back from
it and then save some more on top. But if you don't buy a lot of books, then it's probably not worth it.

Has always been worth it for me.
Don't see how the border one is worth it. From what they say on their site, you get $5 (border bucks) for every $150 you spend and if you do not spend more than $150 by the end of the month you loss what you earn - if you did earn anything. Don't seen how you are saving. I used to go to Border a lot, but hardly go there now. Borders seems to be limited in books, at least maybe at what I look at and the price some time seems higher.

It's been worth it for me because we buy a lot of books and the occasional magazine. I also gets lots of coupons from them. I've never cared for
Borders.
I just ordered 3 books from Barnes & Nobles on Sunday that had free shipping, 15% off one book plus the membership discount. All the books I ordered are ones that they never sell in the actual store, only online. |

It's totally worth it and pays for itself in a couple of visits. Also, you can use your B&N membership card at their Starbucks.

I'm a Barnes and Noble member and it's definitely already paid for itself.
