pretty much and without camera/video recording capabilities. most apps work for both ipod touch and iphone especially now that the new one comes with a mic.

Yes. It only has Wifi because it doesn't have a cell phone data plan like the iPhone.

Pretty much, yeah. So if you have wireless internet at home you should be able to pick it up with the touch.

How important is the GPS to you? How much do you currently spend on your phone? If it's $60 a month can access to Internet and GPS including knowing where
you are and how to get to anywhere you need to go via walking, car or public transit anywhere anytime worth $60 dollars to you?

You need wifi to use the iTunes store on your ipod and to also surf safari and its not like you can pick up wifi anywhere (like you are able to get on the net
w/ an iPhone everywhere).
I have an iPod Touch, 1st gen. If you have the money, you might as well get the iPhone. The data plans and shit to me are just ridiculous though. |

Yeah, I pay 105 with a discount. I think it can get up to $120 with unlimited text messaging (text messaging and data are separate.)
