Well, like I said I have $300 left to my name, so I plan to try and get a motel for now. I went out yesterday to rent a storage and I've been packing my
things up since yesterday. Today I plan on catching the bus to a U-Haul place and renting a truck also I plan on getting two of the guys who hang outside the
local Home Depot to help me move my heavier items. Do you know how much you're suppose to pay those guys or do they usually tell you want they want?

Wow where do you live? How many nights do you think you'll be able to afford at a motel after paying for a storage unit, a u-haul, and people to help you
move? What will you do after your money runs out?

Thanks Sha and Audrey don't feel bad for me. I brought this on myself.
Anyway I need to get off here and finishing packing up my stuff. I might not be on here in awhile because I'm pretty sure I want be able to get on the internet at what ever motel I go too. I guess I can always go to the library.
Thanks again you guys.

I feel bad for you because obviously the economy in California is atrocious let alone LA.. but I really think you need to think about re-locating. If you have
no family and friends, this shouldn't be a problem.
You should do research and find out a place you can afford to live, pack up your belongings and get a bus ticket out there. Even if you're making minimum wage, I know places where I live you can rent for as little as $300/month. $7.15 x 40 hr/week is $286 and with taxes coming out I'll bring it down to maybe $240 at the lowest. I think you'd be able to survive for a couple months until you can get a new job. Writing a bad check is stealing and you're never going to get ahead by doing bad shit. |

Whoa. I just read this entire post and I really feel for you. If you're moving to a hotel sell as much of your furniture as you can on craigslist first.
Anything you can get by without and get any decent money off of might be worth selling. Have you looked into month to month places? Their rent will be cheaper
than a hotel!

Wow. I'm sorry you're in that situation, but if you have no "ties" to L.A. I'd get out of there and move to a more affordable city. In my
area, $450 rent will get you a 3bdr 2ba house...I can't even imagine $900 for an apt!

Yeah and especially if they see you are clearly over qualified they won't hire you either. I've been having that problem a lot with jobs recently. |
