Computer Help Needed ASAP!!!

Posts: 3920 (10/01/2009 12:55 PM) Reply Quote More Recent Posts	As I'm typing this on my old laptop that I never use, my precious desktop is in desperate need of help. See, I got some stupid malware attack from a fake anti-virus software, and after I wiped it, everything's fine, except I can't use my wireless internet. It keeps saying "Connected to the access point, but internet not found". Now, I know that the internet works, because I'm using wireless on this laptop and i just tested the Mac desktop downstairs...this has been going on for two days now, and after days of Google browsing, I really am lost on what to do... Can somebody PLEASE help me?

Posts: 1116 (10/01/2009 1:02 PM) Reply Quote More Recent Posts	I had that virus. The only true way of getting rid of it is to let a professional do it. It hid itself in files that you wont find. It usually blocks internet. Then in some cases it wipes your files clean. My dad had it on his. He thought he got rid of it 5 times. However the pro told us. It resets itself after turning the computer on/off so many times.

Posts: 3922 (10/01/2009 1:49 PM) Reply Quote More Recent Posts	Well, I already manually got rid of all the hidden files and checked the computer's registry, and I had to reinstall a lot of stuff, but it's just not recognizing a connection. Before the virus wouldn't even recognize a connection...but now it's all good...i just don't know how to get it linking again...
