Was it a weird experience or a generally pleasant one? I don't like the options for hotels for where I'm going and found a really cute B&B that is
in walking distance of everything. It looks nice too but I'm not sure if it's weird staying in a place like that?

It really depends on the owners of the B & B you stay at. It's just like a house and you will have a room to yourself.

I stayed at one for the first time this summer with one of my friends. I found it odd. We were the only young and non-couple people staying there. The owners
were nice; however, I'm not one to be all chatty with the people providing me with a bed when I'm at a hotel so I'm not really down with that kind
of personal interest. The "worst" part was the breakfast. Everyone had to be there at 9am and we all sat at a long table together. Again, all older,
married couple and us. I'll be sticking with hotels in the future.

Yeah, pleasant! Depends on the place, though.

I went with my family a couple years ago. I thought it was weird.

It was okay. It was weird, like they had a sign up sheet for a shared hot tub and I was like "Uhm, no."
The food wasn't that great. We were on the third floor by ourselves and the stairs to get to our room were steep and narrow, because the house was old. |

Are they going to assume my friend and I are a couple?

We're going to do it! It's $90 a night (with tax) and it has excellent reviews on Trip Advisor. You can't beat $90 when all the other good hotels
are well over $250 a night.
