Surprised no one mentioned the Blair Witch Project. I guess it didn't scare anyone.

The one movie that disturbed me besides some mentioned here was "The Entity" The fact that a woman was consistently raped and beaten by an unseen
demonic force and there was nothing she could do about it is fucked up. The fact that its based on a true story is even MORE fucked up

I actually thought the movie Scream when it first came out was scary. I seriously jumped throughout the whole movie. Now it's just funny to me, but dang
it I thought it was scary the first time.

The Ring actually impacted my life for a while, unable to sleep and I hated when there'd be a door (let's say the bathroom) that's closed but the
light is on inside so it has a halo of light around it. Does that make any sense? The one that really disturbed me as a child was "Parents" and the
one that is probably really tame but scared me so much as a kid was "Lady in White"

They did a great job with it. |

AngelsTearDrop wrote:Yes! This is totally me too! I LOVE Horrror fiction but I can not get into 'scary' movies. Esp. modern ones. Someone getting disembowled is unpleasant yes, but that doesn't 'scare' me ya know? It's more like.."wth, ew!" lol I like something that's gonna have me looking ove my shoulder and wanting sleep with the light on lol Texas Chainsaw Massacre type movies just don't capture that kinda fear for me. |

Yes, that one. That movie scared, actually. And I agree with you on The
Omen. I forgot about that one.
Children of The Corn freaked me out too.

For people who are into more psychological than slasher, Hard Candy is really good.
Also, this morning I watched a movie called 'Teeth'. It was ok, Another film with a young girl taking charge. I'm going to watch trick r treat and the children later. |

All That Jaz wrote:See that's me too. That's why I found the "Saw" movies stupid. I've seen bits and parts of a lot of them but they just don't interest me. It's all blood and gore... nothing more. Heh. I've seen most of these movies, some when I was a kid, some when I was a teenager, some recently because people here said they were scary nope, nothing that scary. Mind-fuck wise it was Mirrors but only because I have a stupid irrational fear of mirrors in dark places. But nothing else has really played with my mind or really scared me. There will be a time or two that made me jump but nothing major. |
