Pay off all bills, including my current car. then, trade it in for a new car, completely tricked out. Rest in bank.

Not really. Since when does 100,000 mean you'll get 50,000 after taxes? Some people on this board really never cease to amaze me. HA HA
I'd probably invest in various things. |

in reality- I'd pay bills and student loans....for the sake of this post....
I'd get a loft apt downtown and decorate it! |

I'd buy a 1955 Buick. I've been dying to get one.

There's some rooms in my house that I would really love to remodel, so that's where all the money would go to really. If there was any left, then a
nice long vacay would be nice.

Take a vacation, then put the rest in savings.

I'd probably put half into my kids college funds first and then then my 1st actual purchase would probably be a down-payment on a larger home so my mom can
live with me
This just happened to my mom though... But she knew about this aunt and she died 5 years ago. Come to find out she has like massive stock in some oil company

I'd by a pimped out Cadillac CTS. Black with tints, sunroof and rims. |

There is nothing I can think of I would buy with it. The only thing I would do with it is pay off bills and then go from there. Probably move after all the
bills are paid off and than save the rest.

I would use that money as down payment for a new house. Maybe set aside some for furnishing the house.

Put it in the bank and use it over time.

Well I know you said we were to save the "pay the bill payments" stuff but that is exactly what I would do - pay off my mortgage and my credit card
and I'd still have plenty left over. I guess I'd gift my mom and sister with $10,000 each, take a nice trip this winter for a few weeks to a warmer
climate, then put a lot into my retirement fund and the rest into my savings to use when I wanted.

That's what most people would do if they were in that situation. |
