I want to get acrylics, but the problem is that I'm not allowed to have long nails, fake nails, or even painted nails for school. I am looking for something that will look nice like acrylics, but aren't as long-lasting, because I'm getting them done on Friday and I need to have them off by Tuesday. I don't mind getting acrylics, but they're a pain in the ass (and painful!) to take off after 4 days. But I don't want to just get my nails painted, because I think that's ugly. Is there any alternative that looks like acrylic but doesn't last as long?

My sister is a nursing student, and she is not allowed to have fake nails/painted nails for clinicals, but she uses the new OPI Axxium gel polish usually in Bubble Gum and they last forever, don't chip for at least 2 weeks, and help your nails grown.

You can go to the same place where they did them and have them removed. It's not a long process. Slightly uncomfortable, but nothing an adult shouldn't be able to tolerate.

I forgot about my nails till the last second so I stopped at CVS on my way to the wedding and put them on. I got the Broadway Real Life kind. They were the length I like, short and french manicure. They stayed on all night too

I went to a nail salon last night and asked what they could do, and they pretty much said that they'd do the acrylics for me and then take them off a few days later for half the removal price. I really think I'm just going to get CVS nails, though... I tried them on last night and they didn't look that bad. As long as the nails look okay in the wedding pictures, I don't care. Thanks for all the suggestions. I'm also going to look into that OPI gel polish!

Last night at the salon, the lady was trying to help me figure out what to do, and she said a manicure wouldn't look good on my nails They're just too short and thin.
