Yeah, there's a LOT of Harvard stuff, and a scene at BU.

I plan on driving up to visit my roommate and casually wander around Harvard Square.

Well who knows if they'll actually let them shoot at Harvard. Most of the characters are douchebags, and there's a scene with Larry Summers when he was
president of Harvard where he's an asshole.

I am glad to hear you liked the script. I have heard nothing but glowing reviews about it. It's already being touted as an Oscar nominee for the writing and the movie is only in pre-production. lol |

I agree with DeanAttack. I think he should have quit after Alpha Dog because that was the only movie I liked that he's been in. Well, that & Black
Snake Moan..but Samuel L. Jackson (my favorite actor) and Christina Ricci basically owned that movie. Justin was in it for like 2 seconds and then went off
somewhere to war or something.
I hope he gets back to music/performing soon because that's his thing. He dabbles in acting but music is his true passion.

Timberlake film to shoot at Thirsty Scholar Pub in Somerville
A film crew plans to shoot scenes for "The Social Network" starring Justin Timberlake in two weeks at the Thirsty Scholar Pub on Beacon Street in Somerville. A city spokeswoman has confirmed that much about the film shoot today. Earlier, the word at the local pub was that it was "likely" that Timberlake would be at the shoot, and that a crew planned to swing by the pub tonight between 11 p.m. and midnight to "map out scenes." City spokeswoman Jackie Rossetti said in an email that the Board of Aldermen will vote on the studio's permit application tonight. "The information you have is consistent with what I've been told," Rossetti said, while stopping short of confirming Timberlake's appearance. "I've just heard rumors." Neighborhood resident Amanda Garrett said in an email that she and her neighbors received flyers from Columbia Pictures stating that a crew would film at the pub on Oct. 21 and Oct. 22. The flyer listed a number for Michael Murray of the studio's locations department. Murray did not return messages. Timberlake would be the fourth megstar to hit Somerville in recent weeks. Ben Affleck shot scenes for his upcoming film "The Town" last weekend at Somerville Hospital. Cameron Diaz and Tom Cruise filmed scenes for a movie temporarily called "Wichita" in East Somerville two weeks ago. http://www.boston.com/yourtown/news/somerville/2009/10/source_timberlake_likely_comin.html |

Sorkin writes (quoted by a user, that would never bother making up names so obscure) that "20 others" are set to join though it's doubtful
they'll be bigger names than the film's three leads Jesse Eisenberg, Andrew Garfield and Justin Timberlake (who has the smallest role of the three leads) or the ones already mentioned.
Shooting began yesterday, Oct. 19th in Cambridge, MA. Justin Timberlake hasn't been spotted in Cambridge yet, but that's because his scenes all take place in Los Angeles (he plays Napster co-founder Sean Parker) and a Boston location manager recently confirmed that Timberlake indeed won't be appearing in MA at all. The pop star is apparently growing out his hair as well so he can pull off Parker's curls. http://theplaylist.blogspot.com/2009/10/max-minghella-rooney-mara-dakota.html |

The brick and marble of Johns Hopkins University's Homewood
campus will double for the brick and marble of Harvard University in "The Social
Network," a movie about the creation of Facebook that will shoot here on Monday and Tuesday.
Top-billed Jesse Eisenberg, the star of the hit "Zombieland," plays Mark Zuckerberg, the computer whiz who came up with the structure for Facebook. Eisenberg will make the trip to Baltimore for shooting on the Hopkins campus. Justin Timberlake, who plays Facebook's Founding President, Sean Parker, has not been penciled in for any Hopkins-based scenes. The film has been shooting in Boston in October and will return in November to Los Angeles, where it will wrap in February. "The Social Network" director David Fincher previously made " The Curious Case of Benjamin Button." Baltimore lost that film to New Orleans because of Louisiana's aggressive film-production incentive program. The location manager for both films, Bill Doyle, says that Hopkins has never before been used to play Harvard, and it was not the obvious choice. But the suggestion that Hopkins could "cheat" for Harvard came from within the "Social Network" team. And Doyle says the relationships Fincher and Doyle had developed with the Maryland and Baltimore film offices, along with Hopkins' cooperation, made the decision to come to Baltimore easy once they began scouting here. "Maryland has the best film commission in the business, that's for sure," says Doyle. "I told [film commissioner] Jack Gerbes I would make up for 'Benjamin Button' some day. I don't think a two-day shoot makes up for that, but it's a start." "The Social Network" plans to employ 75-80 local crew from Sunday, when preparation starts, to Wednesday, when the production packs up and goes. http://www.baltimoresun.com/entertainment/movies/bal-social-network-1027,0,4920096.story |
