I just don't care for her anymore, especially after her long break.
Other actresses are just passing her up...

I forgot about her. Is she trying to make a comeback?

So what if she is? I don't think acting is her primary concern anymore anyway. She's a mother of three young children.

Most actresses are "over" in her age group. They no longer work as leading women and can't carry romantic comedies anymore. Its just kind of what
happens with time. Luckily she has a real life now so I don't think she's worried about it.

I wasn't speaking about her concern over it, just my observation and opinion.
I never cared for her really anways even in her prime. I loved Pretty Woman and Erin Brockovich, and that is about it. |

Yeah, I know people that were big fans of her, but now they don't care if she even makes another film. Nothing to do with her age. They just lost interest.

Yeah. She has several projects in the works according to IMDB. Though, I am sure that several of them are ones that she will just be producing since she has
her own production company.

99thdegree wrote:Eh. I think Julia could carry a romantic comedy. She just needs the right one. I never thought at her age Sandra Bullock would carry another romantic comedy and look at what she did with The Proposal. And she is a few years older than Julia. |

Julia Roberts was offered the Proposal before Sandra Bullock and she declined.

I still don't think that her performance in ERIN BROCKOVICH was anything great.

I still like her and she's still one of my favorite actresses. But her recent movie Duplicity, that thing was just awful. Wow. Don't see that if you
haven't seen it yet.

Julia has a number of movies coming out. She has Valentine's Day, which is a romantic comedy, that she's filming. Also, she's also filming Eat Pray
Love, which I absolutely can't wait for.
She may be "over" when it comes to tabloids covering her personal life, whereabouts, and whatnot; but she's still JULIA ROBERTS - A severely respected A-list Oscar winner. She still commands her $15-$20 million paycheck, and anything that's not up to her standards (money-wise), she passes down to the bottom-feeders, who would snatch Julia's declined leftovers in a heartbeat, with a SEVERE pay cut too, of course. Oh, and Julia Roberts passed on the role of "The Proposal" because they wanted her to take a pay cut, which she would absolutely not do; rightfully so, considering there are tons of producers and studios that are willing to pay her minimum price. She's an actress who has the chance to pick out what movie she wants to do (accepting and declining), and not even having to audition or "fight" for the role, which is a privilege that is held by the minority in Hollywood. She can be gone for another 20 years, and she can still come back and command whatever she wants. Long story short, she's far from "over". Just because you don't see her on the covers of tabloids in your local grocery store, it definitely doesn't mean that she's over. |
