That doesn't even seem that appealing to me. Sounds like you will be volunteering in the middle of nowhere over sightseeing or whatever.

I know the places don't seem all that "OMG I've always wanted to go there" type of places.

The pay isn't good for it being a whole year. The people are definitely covering all the basis in the application/job description. Plus it's cool
they're paying for all the travel expenses, insurance, etc.

Only 10K? I realize they're paying for everything but taking care of 2 kids 24/7 for a whole year? That's a 25K job + living expenses (atleast!)

I thought 10K was pretty small too, but then I was trying to consider the cost of all travel expenses? IDK.

Yah, I'm not sure if $10K is enough for the year for 2 kids. I'd love to visit some of the places and experience the culture food.

Wow, that is one good ad that the family put together, they basically cover all the bases without telling you the truth., I've seen first hand some of
these families and their "nannies"
The parents basically dump the kids on you 24/7, and just come and check on them a few minutes at a time, the nanny is lucky if she gets 2 hours to herself per day. And with a newborn and a toddler, you don't sleep whole nights when they have a steady schedule, so while travelling (jet-lagging, different country/place every month) you can kiss your sleep bye-bye, because the parents sure as hell won't wake up 5x a night to take care of the kids. And again with a toddler and a newborn you won't be able to do any sight seeing, except for the exceptional visit of a monument. What the parents are basically saying is, that they will be travelling, sight seeing and enjoying themselves while you stay ta the hotel with the kids. The person accepting this job will basically be a slave for a year and only earn 10 000$ for it! |

Just re-read the whole thing and the nanny will be in charge of ABSOLUTLY everything for those kids.
"* Feeding - prepare bottles & meals * Personal Hygiene - diaper changing, cleaning & wiping, and bathing * Putting children to bed * Dressing * Playtime - indoor and/or outdoor weather permitting * Reading and singing to children * Accompanying children to any scheduled activities or playdates" |
