I'm home alone with my one arm and cannot open the jar. I tried holding the jar between my thighs and I'm pretty sure I pulled a muscle in my vag. tmi.

Take a hammer! Or a chainsaw! You cannot give in! Don't let the apple sauce win!

Also, you could try using a bottle opener or the edge of a spoon to pop the lid a little, and make it easier to open.

I tried hammering at it with a knife. Didn't work...

What happened to your arm?
And I don't know what to suggest! |

Run the top under hot water for a few minutes then try again. Just be sure to be careful not to burn yourself on the hot glass or metal top. ANd if you have
one of those rubber jar openers that's even better. Heat expands the metal and makes it easier to twist open

Did you put the knife under the edge of the lid to pop it out? DON'T HAMMER AT A GLASS JAR WITH A KNIFE.

On Thursday, they sawed my radius in two. Repaired it with a large metal plate and some screws and wrapped it up. I have a bone disease in my left wrist.
Can't do a fucking thing for myself and it's driving me nutso.

Take the knife and then poke a hole in the top of the jar to release pressure, should be easier to open then.

The issue at hand is keeping the jar still while I screw the lid off...that seems to be the problem.

And the added dilemna of only having one hand to use isn't helping I guess. Do you have a nice neighbour that would help you out?

how long will you be recovering? maybe it would be worth it to get something like this:
One-Touch Jar Opener of course that won't help you now.

I have the can opener version of that little machine. My brother lost his arm to cancer and he LOVED that thing. He wanted to open everything in the house with
it.
