Edit: I should also add that I'm trying to say "hidden." That's how you say hidden, right? What if I wanted to say "hidden gem?" Yahoo is telling me "gemme cachée." I'm not sure though that the saying "hidden gem" can be exactly translated. You know how sometimes sayings don't make much sense in another language? So I wouldn' use it. trésor caché is a french expression that is often used it translates into hidden treasures, but can be applied to a lot of things. that's why i'm asking for the whole sentence or context, because gem can also translate as pierre précieuses for precious stones, but it can also mean a lot of other things.

It's almost 8am here, so i have to go at a doctor's appointment and will be back in about two hours, so if you want to leave me the text/sentence you will def get it back before the morning US time. If you are not talking about gems as in precious stones, I would use the expression trésor caché based on what you have said so far. If you want to pm me more info I'll be glad to help.
