Yeah, where in the balloon is the kid? There's the little compartment under the balloon, but that's tiny.

Yeah I was looking at the basket at the bottom and I feel like you would be able to tell if his body was in there since it's deflated on that side.

Anyone know how old the brother is? The one who saw the balloon floating away.

they're talking to an "expert" on cnn.com and he isn't sure the kid is in there because there is no basket attached. Also, the thing is
starting to tilt and almost flip over as it's losing helium!

They are saying that he would be in the basket part of it which looking by the close up of HLN it would be pretty big.

That balloon is cruising! I cannot wrap my brain around where he is in the balloon, how he got in a balloon, if he can still be conscious, what the hell he
must be thinking and wtf is going on.

SusieMC wrote: That's the best case scenario, and I really hope that they can bring him down safely. If he continues to gain altitude he'll loose consciouses because of the lack of air and that will be the end of it. Or he could crash. If a hole gets poked, the balloon will go down too quickly, and they won't be able to attempt a rescue, and he will crash. What scares me the most is that there is no way to communicate with the boy, no walkie talkie or radio, so he doesn't know what to do to get back down. And they can't do a rescue mid air, the only hope is that the little boy somehow manages to land that thing. |

How long have the camera's been following the balloon? I would think that maybe someone might've seen the boy fall out if he did.

The way those tethers are hanging, I swear the brother must have done it as a joke. How could the kid inside have untied those?
