Transcripts were forged and athletes admitted who could only read on a second-grade level. The release has not made some FSU fans happy. Some want the whistle blowers fired. That's just really sad. The football players at my school are definitely not the brightest, but they still have to do okay academically and the coaches check up on them to make sure they are going to class and passing.

They do because the money their athleticism brings in and alumni pressure. It is highly unethical and they should be ashamed and penalized as far as accreditation and in the sports world. We put WAY too much emphasis/pressure on sports and this shit is the result,smh.

I know kids who could do math that would make your head spin, and they don't get nearly as much scholarship money as my athlete friends who can barely even spell.

I think the country might as a whole, but most of those same people think players should be able to function and have a real job. If they don't get picked for the NFL, WTF are they going to do when real life hits them? I don't know anyone who thinks a sports player should get a free pass. It's ludicrous.
