I'm in school but I go home for winter/summer break. They don't make me pay but only because I'm in school. Once I graduate and have a job, I will.

I lived at home my first year out of college, and my parents didn't make me pay anything as I was just getting on my feet.
However, if I were to move back home now for any reason, I would definitely offer to pay utilities or something. |

When I tell her about fights with my husband she's always like, "Well if things don't work out, you can always move back here." She loves my husband, but I think she really just wants me to be at home forever. |

I'm not in school anymore. I graduated almost a year ago. The job I have now only allows me 30 hours a week, and my parents know I save aggressively (half
my paycheck) and support me doing so. I'm lucky that I don't have to pay rent, but I'm in the middle of a job search, so it's understood that
when I move out, I will become fiscally responsible for myself.

I just give them whatever I can every 2 weeks (which is usually not much, but still). There's not a specific amount that I need to give them.

Nothing... I'm a student but I don't think they'd accept money even if I wasn't.
I think that the this whole moving out right (or very soon) after college and getting a job thing is also a culture thing. In a lot of other countries, people stay at home until they are like 30 or when they get married. |

I'm 32 and disabled. I just moved back in with my parents and I pay half of all the bills so that's roughly $500 a month.

I pay for all utilities, cable/internet, and groceries. It's about $400 dollars a month. I'm trying to get out of debt and save for my own home.
It's difficult in Southern CA. It's stupidly expensive to live on your own here. I'm thinking of moving out of state.

Nothing. I would be offended if they asked me to pay.

I live at school but my sister just graduated and she doesn't have to pay anything because she is saving up to move out when I graduate (this May).
My brother dropped out of school and has no ambition in life so he pays $400 a month. |

I don't. I've tried to offer to pay rent or whatever and they always refuse. I help out in other ways though.

Nothing. My mom likes having me there compared to my sister and her three kids.
I just graduated from college in May though, so I'm broke for sure. |

I lived with my parents on the weekends and summers while in college. I didn't pay anything. I just made sure I lived by their rules, and did some houswork
for them.
