Yes. I went to a community college that didn't have a network, so I was way excited when I first transferred..but that's right when they opened it up!
I was really pissed.

Yeah. But at the beginning it was only Ivy League. I wish they had a separate facebook for hs and it were like hs.facebook.com ya know? And whence you get to
college you verify with a school email and move up to 'big kid facebook'.

Yeah. I hate to be one of those people talking about "the good old days" of anything but I rarely get on anymore. My Aunts/Uncles have Facebook. Its
not like I have anything on there they can't see but it just makes it awkward.

Yeah, my university got in at the beginning too. I made an account because everyone else had one, but I never really used it. I'm just lucky I remembered
to change the e-mail addy after I graduated college because by the time I did start using FB again, I'd long forgotten my university e-mail address.
I like it better now that it's open to everyone. Most of my family & friends have FB accounts, and it's so easy to keep in contact! |

It wasn't just Ivy League. The first four schools were Harvard, MIT, BU and Northeastern, I think.
I remember being really excited when it finally expanded to the West and I could add friends in California. |

My school got it pretty early on too. I think it used to be "thefacebook.com" back then and each university had its own link. *sigh* I deleted that
account though when I was going through post-breakup depression.

Yeah, it was thefacebook.com.
It was better when you could see EVERYONE at your school, what classes you had together, etc. Then they had to fuck it all up to get more users.

I was so much better back then.
When I joined, hardly anyone knew about it, not even the people at my school. It was nice that it wasn't a
phenomenon and overcrowded as hell.
It is nice that my family can get on now, though. I just wish everyone else's families weren't overpopulating the place.

Yeah, Pitt got it early on. I want to say I signed up my sophomore year, back in 2004? All my friends that went to smaller schools were mad their schools
didn't have it yet!

YES. It was so much faster and simpler back then! I liked how simple it was. Just your info and friends and pictures. The first few apps were fine, cause they were fun, like Scrabulous and stuff. But then it just got fucking ridiculous. |
