I just said, "Yeah, I experimented in my teens but it was never anything serious and don't do anything anymore. I rarely drink more than maybe twice a
year."

We tried him out on a Spiderman one in the store (they didn't have the Lightning McQueen one in stock) to decide which size to get him.

I have no problem with them asking and I always answer truthfully but don't just automatically assume that because (like most teenagers) I did experiment a little that I must still be some worthless, sneaky druggie. I'm not even on any pain meds or anything and when they ask me what my pain is I'm not like, "Oh, my God, it's awful, it's like a 10!" I usually say about a 1...the highest was a 3. |

How would they know that you smoked pot 8 years ago?

That is why I say no. What I did 10-20 years ago isn't going to matter now. The only thing I say is that I quit smoking about 9 years ago because I am
kinda proud of that.

I don't understand NOT being open...especially when it's nothing terrible. Info like that could affect your treatment/health.

I completely understand where your coming from, I'm just too much of a wuss to actually tell them how much I drink.

elites renee wrote: Seriously. Is this somewhere in your charts? Apparently yes if shes asking you that. You have to watch what you say sometimes bc I doubt you want to be ineligible for life insurance or something crazy bc you were smoking pot occasionally more than (two?) decade(s) ago. Im all about disclosing info with my doctors but I wouldnt tell them something so miniscule. Now if you were doing LSD every weekend at 13 that might be something to bring up... |

I think having diabetes (something I kind of have to disclose) will cause me more trouble getting life insurance than some drug experimentation as a teenager.
For the time being, anyway, we get it through my husband's work and they barely ask ANY health questions.
