I worked at Bombay Company for 3 months during the holidays. Hated it. Then I worked at a store called Tuesday Morning for like 2 weeks and quit. Never again!

I worked at Target for a year 1/2 when I was 16. It wasn't terrible but I wouldn't do it again. I worked at Best Buy when I was 18 and it was pretty
damn great. Employees get great discounts, you don't have to grab carts and people don't buy a million things so you aren't ringing shit up for 30
minutes.

I've worked at Sears for 7 years. I'm a softlines manager now and I'm at the end of my rope, lol. It is getting very stressful, there is just
soooooooo much to do and no time to do it in and no one to help. I've been trying to get out for a while now, but living in Michigan, it's hard to do
these days.

About 8 1/2 months. The last 6 months were only like 4-15 hours a week though so they almost don't count

I've been at Ross for a month. I don't really like it. It's irritating and repetitive. Same thing. Over and over. It sucks.
Before that, I worked at a grocery store (which is technically retail) for about 6 months. I thought that was bad at the time. Nope. Department stores < grocery stores. |

I worked various types of retail for a couple of years. My favorite was Rocky Mountain Chocolate Factory because it was a small franchise and I also got to be
creative and make stuff. And I had good coworkers.

I worked at Wal Mart, on the Service Desk for over a year. I didn't mind it much. Actually, I really enjoyed it. Crazy I know...Wal Mart and customer
service mixed together sounds bad but it wasn't. I only left because I moved and now I work at Ross. I've been there for about seven months and
it's okay. I don't enjoy it much but I don't get what's so awful about a retail job. It's a job.

I've been with Target for thee years now. It's ok it gotten better not that I work overnights and dont have to deal with customers anymore. But this
time of year is always stressful and I want to quit. I know it will get better once the holidays are over.

autumn0308 wrote:I'm starting to think it's that way at every Ross. I've worked at two, and since my transfer I've realized both stores I've worked at are like that. No offense to our gender, but I think it's because it's a store full of nothing but women. It doesn't work too well. Yeah, I won't get to enjoy the double discount too much but it's falls perfectly on my birthday so I'm making everyone give me money.Oh yes, sooo boring. |

Hmm, that's interesting. Yeah, there's only like 5 guys in our whole store.

2.5 years and counting, only weekends though so don't feel like I'm there enough to full on hate it.

I've been doing it for 10 years in different places. I loved it when I worked at CVS because I was in the photo lab. And I loved working at Movado because
it was just so damn easy. But my job now? HATE. SEETHING HATE.
