They aren't. Sephora is owned my Louis Vuitton. And I think Ulta is its own thing.

Ulta here carries drugstore brands. Sephora carries store brands like Clinique etc.
I thought JcPenny's owned Sephora

Yeah Ulta and Sephora are nothing like, I mean you may find some of the same brands at each store but Sephora always has a bigger selection than Ulta (even in
the brands they both sell).
And I don't think Stila is even exclusive to Sephora and Ulta, you can buy Stila cosmetics at some other boutique type cosmetic stores. I certainly prefer Sephora to Ulta, but will shop at either that have the products I am interested in. |

I find their marketing completely different. From viral to catalogues.
I feel like Ulta is a drugstore cosmetic section that hooked up with Sephora and Sally's. Sephora is like, well. Sephora. |
