there are richer owners in baseball than GS, the difference is ours is willing to spend on our team, while majority doesn't...
oh and btw...CC last year in the postseason is different from CC this year...and yeah, they are 5-0 in the new stadium

the yankees will always be judged by their payroll...if they win, its the payroll; if they lose, its a 200M failure....its always about the yanks
"buying" the team, never mind that today's SP, closer, catcher, shortstop and second baseman, CF are homegrown[ plus the backup catcher, CF and
several relief pitcher]...

Not all the owners like to open the wallet though. And whatever, that's fine. I just feel for the fans of teams that don't win often because there is no excuse to not be competitive. Especially with the revenue sharing (which Steinbrenner ends up having to give the most to btw). |

I'm sensing a lot of bitterness in here. Phillies fans must be getting nervous already! So lets bring up the money issue..again. Shocking!

Yankees fans are the worst bandwagoners ever. The Red Sox sell out every game, all season long. Fans love them if they are under .500, at .500, not in the
playoffs, in the playoffs, or win the World Series. The Yankees let another team win and the crowd boos at them. If the Yankees are winning NY loves them. If
the Yankees are losing they hate them. Same with the random bandwagon fans from around the country. They are fans when it's convenient. If they had lost
the ALCS, and when they lose the WS - it'll be clear who actually likes the Yankees and who is just jumping on the band wagon.

How about we all just quit our bitching and just wait and see who is on top when it's all said and done? That's what I'm going to do now since
arguing is putting me in a shitty mood. I'm out.
Phillies > Yankees

For a team that finally made it back to the World Series, you Yankee fans are a bit touchy tonight.
Enjoy your win in the Yankee post and let those who dislike the Yankees intensely root for the Phillies. It's not like you're going to change their minds by posting in here. |

A lot of teams are competitive though despite their payroll being tens of millions below the Yankees. The Yankees are THE example of the fact that you can put
any group of all-stars on the field and STILL not win. A lot more goes into winning and it sucks that people disregard that because they really just don't
know what they're talking about.

No one is touchy. More like shaking our heads at all the regurgitated BS that people spout constantly.
I'm ecstatic and I feel no need to bash the Phillies. It should be a great series and as always...I'm confident in my team.

Phillies have a great team and they are still the remaining champs. They have an awesome offense including great pitching. It will be a good match up. Looking
forward to seeing both teams play in the world series. Should be a very good World Series game.
