I also really hate the misuse of the word "went". You do NOT say, "you should have went to the store". It is, "you should have GONE to
the store".

Using "good" instead of "well". Makes me
Person A: "How are you today?" Person B: "I'm doing good." I'm doing well, motherfucker! WELL!!!

Ok...I made a bunch of wrong sentences, and they'll have to correct 'em.
Like: "I would of won the contest, but my wig blew off. Your a nice guy, Mr. Dracula What kind of candy is you're favorite? The bats are scarier then the spiders." I have a bunch more, but I'd like to hear your ideas. Ok....C'mon Nerds... gimme some more good sentences. I need about 5 more. |

I have:
"Will Bella be able to except the vampire lifestyle? I should of dressed as Bride of Frankenstein. I'm going two the store too buy apples, to. We could guess who everyone at the party was, accept for lizard-man. Its Halloween party time! Don't eat candy that lost it's wrapper! |

merchasa wrote: goodIn excellent condition; sound: a good tooth.Superior to the average; satisfactory: a good student. satisfactory in quality, quantity, or degree: a good teacher; good health. "The adjective good is standard after linking verbs like taste, smell, look, feel, be, and seem: Everything tastes good. The biscuits smell good. You're looking good today. When used after look or feel, good may refer to spirits as well as health: I'm feeling pretty good this morning, ready to take on the world." Since "How are you?" is typically a question referring to how someone feels, or the quality of their life, good is not incorrect to use. |

My understanding is that "I'm good" is not incorrect but "I'm doing good" is.
http://www.grammarerrors.com/grammar.html As for the actual topic, a lot of my pet peeves have been mentioned: who's/whose than/then looser/loser double comparatives/superlatives as in "most greatest" It also really annoys me when people say "I usually never..." or "I usually always..." It doesn't make any sense. |
