My mom pisses me off so much when she takes her Ambien and then doesn't go to bed. She doesn't think anything is wrong but she'll be stumbling all over the place and slurring her words and will yell at me when I tell her she needs to go to bed. Then the next day she doesn't remember any of it.

That's my mom, but she doesn't take Ambien, she takes a high dose of Amitriptyline. When she takes 2 pills she does weird shit, like I'll find her asleep on the toilet and when I come back an hour later, she's still there. She'll go into the kitchen and make food, sometimes edible food, other times shitting stuff like cereal with a stick of butter. Then when I go check on her in her room, the food is spilled all over her or her bed or she's got a hand in the bowl of whatever she's eating. I've found her cooking food on the stove without a pan and I can smell the smoke. Or my favorite, she sits on the edge of her bed, rocking back and forth asleep and totally out of it or at the computer and her head keeps falling up and down as she fights going to sleep. Then when I try to get her to go to bed, to lay down, she screams at me, she yells at me, she tells me "I'm the mother, you don't tell ME what to do." It's really annoying and she doesn't remember any of it
