in the woods with her friend and they saw this really weird guy staggering back towards his car covering his face with his hand when he saw them. My mom
thought it was really weird so she memorized his license plate. While they were walking on the trial, they found a pair of glasses. The lenses were really
thick so she knew it was something the person didn't just accidentally drop or whatever. After they finished the walk and got back to the parking lot,
there were police cars everywhere. He had attacked a woman and attempted to rape her. I think the only reason he didn't is because he heard my mom and
her friend (a man) coming up on him. Now they want my mom to testify against him in court. I'm worried that he's going to like find her or something.

WHOA! Good for her for being suspicious and getting the license plate number.

WOW. That's really scary. But it's a good thing they were there. Hopefully they will do what they can to protect your mother.
Once in the woods on a trail I found one lost high heel. It really creeped me out because who wears high heels to the woods? And then loses one? I never heard anything else about it though. |

Wow, that's crazy. It is scary to testify against someone (I had to do it) but it was worth it to watch the stupid prick go to jail.

Yea the woman identified him and he's already in jail with no bond. My uncle, a former police officer, says that if there is no bail it means either he has
a record or he has "no ties to the community"? (I think he's from another country so they worry the person will just move away or something). But
my mom is such a detective, she always pays attention to such little things, especially things she finds on the ground, and I'm always like God mom
it's not important.

Did your mom's friend see the guy, too? And is he being asked to testify against the man?

Yea but he's really obtuse and stupid so he didn't really pay any attention. He was telling my mom she's just always suspicious of everybody. They
were really excited my mom had the license plate so I feel like he has probably done this in the past.

He won't find her, or do anything to her.
Witnesses are always super worried about that. In my experience, and all the times I've dealt with that kind of stuff, witnesses have never been messed with. Yes, I am sure it happens, but not as often as people think. |

Plus, the guy is probably still in jail, awaiting trial (unless of course, he posted bail/bond...but it sounds like the crime was pretty serious, and his bail
amount is probably fairly high)
