There's a little 'highlighter' next to the button where you change the text colour.

I need to highlight a few different lines, like you would with a highlighter pen. I'm not seeing the button to do that.

Select the cells -> Right-click on them -> Format -> Color tab or something like that

Yep. You can't highlight individual words. You have to click in the cell as opposed to selecting text.
