Just got Diagnosed with the H1N1 .. He helps care for my Grandfather just like I do, I am so afraid my Grandfather will get the H1N1 and If he gets that, I
doubt he would recover. He is in Poor Health as it is. Also If the Flu is in my Family Im worried about getting it myself and also for my kids and my siblings.
I Never get the regular Flu shot, But I am in the High risk group.

Are they gonna give it to your grandfather?
I'd get it if I were you, because you do care for your grandfather. (I don't get a flu shot either, but I think I would get this one, if I were in your position) |

It's up to you to decide, do the research an ask his doctor if it's a goog idea for him to get it.
Also, the flu shot takes 1 to 2 weeks to start working so he migh still catch it even if you vaccinate him now. |

People usually develop symptoms 3-5 days after they are exposed to it. That's what happened to my sons...the older one got it, then the little one.
Watch your grandfather closely. |

Anyone born before 1950 more than likely has antibodies built up against this strain of the flu as it went around in a different form years ago. That is why
they are not on the priority list for the vaccination. I would contact his doctor and let him know he has been exposed and ask for a script for Tamiflu, that
should help prevent it.
