I'm feeling a bit overwhelmed with technology. I am thinking about maybe taking one evening a week with no cell phone, TV, computer, and iPod. Anyone do
that?

You won't make it.
I went to the Czech Republic a couple of years ago and spent three weeks without any of those. My gramma doesn't have a computer or a TV. |

I did about a year ago, but it wasn't by choice. Our electricity went out for two days. I have to admit, it was kind of nice reading by candlelight,
showering by candlelight, etc.

I kind of took one this summer. My family and I went to the Bahamas for a week so I didn't turn my cell on and we were so busy on the beach and doing
everything that I didn't watch tv or go on the computer. It was very nice.

I couldn't do it. I'm very connected to everything. I would die without it.

I don't know if I could totally do that. I can do it with the computer if I have to--due to a number of technical problems I've been off my computer
more than on in the last couple months--but I also had music and TV. I don't know if I could go without all of that.

I never take vacations with technology-it is nice. I also never use it when my boyfriend and I are together. Also nice.

It is easier for me than most people, since I don't watch TV or own an ipod. Getting by without internet access was more challenging.

Sometimes it's nice to get away from these things. We become so dependent on them!

I've heard of people who goes nuts when their iphone goes down for the afternoon, or they can't get on facebook.

I was bored out of my mine when my power went off for like 2 hours. I didn't know what to do with myself.
