Yes! When I was little, the Christmas season didn't ''begin'' for me, until after the Thanksgiving Day parade. At the
end of the parade, Santa comes down 5th Ave. on his sleigh, and THAT'S when Christmas ''officially'' starts! Growing up in NYC, all of the
Christmas lights and decorations didn't pop up until after Thanksgiving. Now they start the hype in August, in some places!


We plan on eating out and seeing a movie, because we are not in mood for huge,
family celebrations
