jgsgal24 wrote:The bigger deal was referring you to being unable to ask him out to lunch. When you hand him the candy, just casually be like "hey, did you want to grab lunch sometimes this week? I found this new restaurant I wanted to try." But I guess giving him your phone number when you work together and speak to each other on a daily basis is much better. |

Soooo I told my friend about my little idea & she said to go for it! She said it would be cute! She suggested I put a note inside with my phone # that
reads "when u're ready for a REAL treat....call me!" She said she'd give it to him! I dunno!
Lame?

jgsgal24 wrote: That sounds like you're offering a sexual favor! Do not say that! I approve of the note idea, but why not just throw in a little sheet of paper that says "let's do lunch ". That way it's open-ended, and he'll approach you for more
details or offer the specifics of when/where. Being passive and chicken will get you nowhere, Missy!

I'm in the same position. But I wouldn't give him a bag of candy with my number in it. I'd rather just not say anything at all.

jgsgal24 wrote:Omg, do not say that. It doesn't even have proper grammar, ew. I really think just casually inviting him to lunch is your best bet. That way it doesn't necessarily seem like you are attracted to him and things won't be awkward between you if it doesn't work out or he's not interested in you like that. |
