This makes me think of the time a poster posted pictures of herself in an outfit and got pissed and said she didn't ask for anyone's opinions of her in
her outfit.

I wasn't trying to say you were. The tie-in was more for the people that are saying people are trying to tell you how to feel and you didn't ask for
it.

I highly doubt it's because they were filled with remorse and sincerely wanted to see how I was doing. It was a very emotionally traumatizing time for me... Do I think about it all the time? No. Did it shape who I am today? Absolutely. I would be cordial to these people in person, but I would never consider them my friends, either on Facebook or off. It doesn't make me (or the OP) a bad person. |

I didn't bully people enough in high school. Facebook gives me a second chance to do some more mental (and sometimes physical) damage. Just add her.

When did people who are still sore about high school bullies graduate?

I don't see why this is such a huge deal. I really don't. I get that you feel "damaged" in some way by this, but before even saying anything
or learning about her motivation to add you, you went off the deep end. How do you know he wasn't trying to make amends and let bygones be bygones?
Like PP said, there are a lot of people from both of my HS on my facebook page and I've had no issues, even with people I remembered having issues with. A lot of time things are remembered by people and forgotten by others. Similar to what McKenna was saying. I just think this thing is bothering you way more than it even should have. At the end of the day, FB is a nice place to keep in touch with people and to know that people you grew up with are doing well, etc. |

For some people, it's impossible to completely forget the mental (and sometimes physical) abuse that took place throughout all twelve years of schooling. It's so easy to say, "It happened a long time ago. Get over it." I wish it was that easy. I was lucky...I graduated and put my experience to good use, and ended up doing a total 360 turnaround. I've become such a confident, happy person. But a lot of people face the repurcussions of bullying for years and years. |

I can't believe a four word response on FB from the OP spawned all this. She realizes that it was childish, what more is there to say?

I don't think she made a big deal about it. Its not like she wrote a three paragraph response explaining why.

It'd be easier to understand someone being sore about something that happened more recently which was my point. Everyone reacts differently and adjusts
differently but I'd imagine you'd be a little more upset about someone calling you fat if it happened last year rather than 10 years ago.
It's not that I'm taking the bullying issue lightly, but I'd tend to write off A LOT of what has happened in school to immaturity so I can't really relate someone who hangs on to that for so long. |

I don't take personal issues here and I'm not going to just so people can understand, but I didn't and still don't take anyone calling me fat
lightly. Regardless of her supposed intentions that a lot of people are giving her the credit of having, I have no plans to let bygones be bygones. She does
not need to be in my life in any way, shape or form and that includes Facebook and I have no issues letting her know she must be joking if she thinks anything
she's done it okay. I'm a little confused why I would owe her the courtesy of asking her intentions, to be honest.
And I didn't call anyone a bitch except for in the title of this post. |

Lol, it's normal for things that happened in someones adolesence to stay with them as they grow older. And I bet most of the people saying "move
on" are just saving face.
