I remember in that movie Brokedown Palace a beetle crawls in her ear and then she gets really really sick. I was so paranoid about that for a long time.

OMG I thought this was happening to me once when I was 13 or so. Something crawled in my ear and my friend got me all freaked out. I psyched myself into having
such a huge headache because I really thought this bug was eating my brain. Then my dad explained it would have to through your eardrum and stuff, and you
would definitely feel that.
