The cashier was like "are you buying to them to lose weight [dramatic pause]...orrrr for the taste?" Um, do I look like I need to lose weight, prick?
I told him the cereal is yummy and that he should try it.

It was three kinds of Kashi cereal and yes, it was on sale! 2 for $5 instead of like $3.50 a piece.

You must be fat. Otherwise, why would he ask that.

I'm not fat, Maury. I've lost 47 pounds so far and now I'm at 437.2!

The cashier asked me if I had a rabbit because I bought a lot of carrots the other day. I just like carrots and eat them like twice a day! She then proceeded
to comment on like everything that she scanned. She told me the best kind of coffee to buy, a recipe for mashed potatoes and I also learned that she uses Dove
shampoo/conditioner.

You gave him a very courteous reply! I'd just be like,
What an odd and gauche thing to say to someone. |

Is it special weight loss cereal or something? What an odd thing to ask.

No, it just has some whole grains. I like it because it doesn't get soggy in milk, tastes good and keeps me full longer.

What a dumb thing to ask. You handled youself nicely. I probably would have said something snarky to him.

A girl cashier asked me that once when I was buying a few boxes of Special K (which were way cheap at the time too).

This is why I use the self checkout because I can't stand when the cashiers comment on what I'm buying

These people need to mind their own business. Usually the cashier and bagger are too busy having their own conversation to meddle in my life.

We ran out of milk at Starbucks midway through the afternoon so a coworker and I had to go to the grocery store next door to get as much 2% and skim as we
could bring back. We get our milk at the end of the night with the food order so we needed enough for the rest of the night.
Anyway, we bought about 10 bags of each and the cashier was like, "What are you guys going to do with all this milk?" Like it was some kind of a scheme or something. We were wearing our green aprons too.

When I was a little girl I remember going to the store with my sister and buying two half gallons of ice cream and the cashier was all 'oohh, are you guys having an ice cream party?!' |

Strange comment considering the product was on sale.

Can I ask - what store had it on sale for that cheap? I love it but only buy it every once in awhile.
