They cited a survey stating pro basketball's most enthusiastic fans come from the income groups that can't afford to see games because the tickets are too high. Or perhaps they go once or twice a year. The owners blame the players for high salaries. The players blame the owners for trying to get rich. Is this true among basketball fans all over, or is it just here in Southern California where the Lakers are demi-gods?

When I worked in the NBA, the team I worked for had a "family plan" that included 4 game tickets, 4 hot dogs (tiny little things) and a small soda for $40.00. Problem was that the seats were so high up that you might as well watch the game at home. The average price for a reasonable seat was like $40 and for an entire family, definitely cost prohibitive.

Posts: 13146 (11/04/2009 9:49 PM) Best Male '09 Reply Quote More Recent Posts	suns had their first home non sell out in several years just 2 days ago. football tickets are generally more expensive but you've only got 8 games. nba is a little too expensive for me to go very often. tickets start at $10 but if you realistically want to see the game you're looking at $40-$50++ or so. i'll only go to a suns game if kobe, lebron, wade etc. are in town. baseball has it just right in my opinion but they also have 81 games so they kind of have to be nice.

False They do have the $2 tickets for some games however if you want decent seats, you're going to pay out the ass. I don't know how a family is supposed to afford to go to these things consistently. I spent almost $5,000 a few seasons ago on tickets/TM fees/parking -- just for myself.

There are definitely some very pricey seats, but I LOVE Mark Cuban for making everything about the fans.
