With an average price of $159.65 at the new Cowboys Stadium, ticket prices increased by 89.8 percent from a year ago at Texas Stadium, according to the annual Team Marketing Report released this month. The increase pushed the Cowboys' average ticket price nearly $42 higher than that of the New England Patriots ($117.84) and more than $70 higher than those of the Chicago Bears and the New York Giants, the next-highest-priced teams. Now the most expensive pro sports league (as a whole) surprised me. It is the National Hockey League, which beat out the NFL and the NBA. The marketing survey said it is because the NHL does not have a major American TV contract, which is a major source of revenue to the other three.

Although... the new Cowboys stadium offers $29 tickets, which is super cheap. You just have no seats. I wonder if the $29 tickets are figured into that median price.

TML fans are so loyal, it's disgusting. According to a recent survey, a Leafs game remains the most expensive night out in the National Hockey League - and it's not even close. According to Chicago-based Team Marketing Report's annual survey released this week, Maple Leafs games at the Air Canada Centre carry an average ticket price equivalent to $117.49 (U.S.) this season, more than double the league's average price of $51.41. As for the "Fan Cost Index" - TMR's trademark calculation of the aggregate price for a family of four to attend a game - Toronto checks in at a league-high $628.29 (Canadian) or $585.57 (U.S.)... As big a fan as I am, it still baffles me that they can be this bad and they will still sell out every game.

My dad's season tickets are like just over $150 a piece and they are on the lower level, but still like 18 rows up from the ice!! I think we officially have the most expensive beer though, prices this season are $10 a can!
