I'm having a good time and I actually enjoy going to work again. At home I dread going to work due to all the bull shit going on and incompetence. Now I
don't want to move here permanently but I wouldn't mind stay out here an extra month or two. I sent my boss out here an email so we shall see what she
says. Hopefully she says YAY great I need ya out here longer. Then I have to break the news to my boss back home.

I'm in Secaucus. The company I work for just opened a movie theater up out here and I came out to help open it. I think the main reason I want to extend
my stay is I don't want to go back to the bullshit and incompetence of my theater in Indiana.

Well, that's not so bad then. As long as you like it (or prefer it!
) Plus, you're super close to NYC, so that helps.
How long have you been in NJ? |

I've been here a month. There is a bus stop right outside my hotel that takes you right into Times Square. It's 10 minutes and it's great.

I saw the new movie theatre. The one by Red Lobster right? Looks like a nice theatre. Nice flashy lights.

$7.50 for all shows before 6. $10 after six. Seniors are $6, kids are $7.50 all times. All shows before noon are $5 (we normally run those on Friday-Sunday
and most holidays) There is an extra surcharge for 3D films. We also have the five buck club. If you are a member you can see certain films for $5 any time
of the day with your membership card. Usually the movie has to be out 2 weeks sometimes it's a bit longer.

My dad went on a trip out to see a Notre Dame & BC football game a couple of weeks ago and said the drive from Ohio (where my brother lives) through
Indiana was so depressing. All of the automobile factories that stretched for miles were all shut down & a ton of businesses were shut down. No people
around for miles. He said it was so depressing. So yeah I can understand why you would enjoy NJ!
I could never live anywhere inland, I always have to be near the ocean! |

Yeah all the American auto factories in Indiana are slowly being shut down but foreign factories are going strong. They just opened a new Honda plant about 25
minutes from my house and up north near Chicago they have the Subaru plant that they are expanding. My dad goes there a lot 'cause he's the head
engineer on the project.

Well I live in Indianapolis, not out in the country. What I think is depressing is the drive from Indianapolis to Illinois along I74. Now that is depressing
because it's so boring because there is nothing just flat land.

That 5 buck club sounds so nice. Is it free to join ? Do you know if that theatre has any other locations in other states?

yup it's free to join. just go online to fivebuckclub.net. The catch though is one membership card equals one five dollar ticket so everyone in your
family has to have their own card. Since it's free to join then it shouldn't be a big deal.
NJ is our first theater on the east coast. Last year we opened a theater in CA and that was our first on the west coast. Our company is based out of Illinois. Our corporate offices are in Chicago and Springfield. We are a midwest company looking to expand. Most of our theaters are in Indiana and Illinois. We have 2 in Ohio, a few in Wisconsin, a few in Missouri and Iowa. Oh and we have some in Colorado because 2 years ago we bought out a theater chain there. |
