I have the HTC Hero from Sprint. I love it. It's awesome. It has Android applications, which are like Iphone applications. I have one app that lets me use
my phone to scan a barcode and do a web search on the product.

They are VERY good phones. Which one are you looking into? CDMA sucks, by the way.

I hate that there is always a delay, I have the touch pro 2 and I have had it for a week but the delay is annoying and the message sent dissmissal request is
very annoying, I found it kind of hard to navigate. I used to have the wing and loved it but I am def going back to my Iphone.

It was the worst phone I've ever owned. 10 months in I had a problem that made my phone shut off whenever I received or tried to make a phone call. I
changed my battery 100 times and it kept happening. They couldn't do anything for me and I had to buy a new phone outright.

Out of those 2, I say the Pure, mainly because the Hero is CDMA. You should also look into the Touch PRO 2 or wait until the HD2.

What's so wrong with CDMA? I get better service now with Sprint than I ever had with AT&T.

Well, with GSM, you can switch cell phones at will whenever you want, not to mention you can save stuff to your SIM card in case you lose something or whenever
you want to use another phone.

Code division for multiple access AKA Sprint and Verizon, where they don't use SIM cards.

Yeah, but with Sprint, all your pictures and phone numbers are automatically saved through some type of back up. The Sim card only saves your contact and your
account information.

The same can be done with a GSM network. However, being able to save your contacts to your SIM card and access them to any phone you want > having to go
through a back up.

My sister has a Touch Pro and has had nothing but problems with it. I'm not really sure what is wrong with hers, though, so she may just have a lemon.

Pictures and texts can't be saved onto a simcard?

Texts can be saved to a SIM card. Pictures can't, but they can be backed up or saved to an SD card.
