I understand what your saying. Guns are a necessary part of the world today. They are needed. I wish they weren't but hey, it is what it is. I do however
believe that the gun laws need to be stricter. No normal citizen should be able to purchase most the guns that are available on the market. We do need some
serious new legislation. Gun "control" is something I'm serious about. I've written to my Congresswoman numerous times discussing it. BUT,
politics always come in. I think the NRA got some serious lobbyist working for them.
But, ultimately, it's not the guns themselves that are causing the problem. It's the people that use/create them inappropriately. Guns don't operate or create themselves. The fact of the matter is, if someone really wants a gun to harm another with, they'll be able to get it. Strict gun laws or not. They key is to try and slow them down (which hopefully stricter gun control laws would do).
And "non-stupid shit" use would most importantly be using it for protection purposes. Of course, something could always go wrong. People are not perfect. But having a gun for protection, in general, would be considered "non-stupid" shit usage.
