One more article about it:
(CNN) -- After only one show Down Under, Britney Spears' Australian tour is already turning into quite the "Circus" as the government weighs in on lip-synching and angry fans storm out of Spears' first performance. I just don't understand how people don't realize what they're paying for. It's not news that Britney doesn't sing live and there are people who won't shell out that kind of money if they aren't getting a live performance and that's fine, that's their deal. But seriously, I'd like to know where this huge group of people who are buying $200 tickets and then going "OMFG SHE DIDN'T SING LIVE?!?!" are because... well, they need to come out of the rock they've been living under for the past decade  I bought a $150 ticket and I knew what that money was going toward -- an
entertaining show with dance and theatrics like no other show, and that's what I got, so I was happy.

and their inability to see Spears on the jumbo screens onstage.I do understand that. Although I read some tweets and someone said they were using the screens? I don't know, clearly I wasn't there. But they used them at my show!

Maybe he should have asked some more fans before coming to that conclusion!!! I understand thinking we're nutty for it, but denying that a sizeable bunch of us are fine with the lip syncing is just odd to me, particularly in light of God knows how many sell out shows over the years. Yes, we know she does it, those of us who are still buying the tickets don't care. We'll care if we think the rest of the show isn't enough to compensate, but the actual syncing? We know the deal, we bought the tickets anyway. We have not been conned in any way.
edit: Those who've managed not to notice she lip syncs regularly are either worryingly unobservant or clearly not that much of a fan (I don't say that to mean they've failed their test and are denied a fan card, just that they obviously don't choose to follow her that closely if they've managed to miss that )

Without the dancing affect, her lip syncing just now stands as a slap in the face instead of an excuse for a series of spectacular dance sequences.

Man, look at those legs. I could have used some of those muscles this past week. I went to Walt Disney World in Orlando for a week. Every time I was at the
food court of our hotel, they played Gimme More. Loved it.
Glad I missed the drama here. People need to get over their hatred of Britney. If you don't like her, avoid her posts, don't listen to her music don't go to her concerts and we'll all live happily ever after. |
