Is there a big difference in the two since Mac computers are pretty much virus free? I know on a Windows Firefox is better at preventing alot of stuff but
didn't know if it mattered on a Mac?

both. i use firefox for yuku support and add ons
the difference between the two on a mac is the fact that firefox is open sourced, and is a lot more lightweight. Safari runs smoother though, and the linked support between other apple applications is unparalleled. |

After I installed Snow Leopard and updated Safari to the most recent release, I switched to safari. But I still use firefox for a couple of things.

Kappaxgirl wrote: viruses you wont have a problem with, since youre on a mac and there's an extremely slim chance of ever getting one. both firefox and safari have built in spam blockers. Firefox also has an ad-block add on. |

Katie1030 wrote:Snow Leopard is great. I haven't had any problems. It's actually been faster at rebooting and shutting down than before. And I have way more space. I would upgrade for sure. |

Is there a way to block ads on Safari like using adblock for Firefox? If not, then Firefox FTW.
