I finally got to see her in concert in september and I'll admit I was one of those people that would never pay to see her because of the whole lip synching
blah blah. But I ended up winning tickets and took a friend with me. I actually enjoyed her show, same with my friend. Her show definitely makes up for the
lack of singing. Now I may not pay over $100 for her but I'd definitely maybe think of buying tickets to see her if/whenever she may ever tour again.

Reason why I decided not to got to her Sydney shows. I couldn't justify $150 on someone who doesn't sing live and doesn't dance. I'd rather
spend it on someone who puts on a quality show *coughKyliecough*

The only thing is her show is so scripted it would've been nice if she could've connected with the crowd more but that was my only downside. But I do think you have to see her show in person as well. We had nosebleed seats and I still enjoyed it as much as if I could've been closer. |

I think fans are willing to pay a lot for her because some of them probably just don't know what talent is. So a normal fan will probably see the circus concert and will think "Oh my god! This show is amazing," but for people who really do know what true talent is will think "Is this suppose to be a joke or something?" and I think even her true fans can say, she has lost it. I should know, I'm one of them. Disclaimer: I am not being snarky or otherwise mean, just looking for clarification from the person I quoted, so anybody else wanting to get arsey can shove it. Shouldn't have to disclaim that but around here... Anyway, I'm just wondering you could explain a bit more, since I'm not sure I'm reading you right? What I'm getting is that fans don't know what talent is, "true" fans know she's crap and "normal" fans will buy anything. I find it weird to categorise fans as "true" or not in the first place, I have no idea how you'd even begin defining which is which, but even saying that it seems odd to me that a so called "true" fan would think she's crap. Generally the idea of being a fan is at least liking what somebody does even if you don't think they're the world's best. For me personally, that would be the point where I'd stop being any type of fan except maybe a casual one - wouldn't suddenly hate her but I wouldn't be much bothered any more I don't mean you have to kiss her ass 24/7, Lord knows that ain't healthy... do you just mean "true" as in to say focussed purely on the talent or lack thereof rather than the personality? Sorry, just trying to get what you mean and failing miserably

Did you feel she was invested in the show? Some of the people who went to the show said that you can't judge the YouTube videos because the show is much better in person. I know you didn't direct this at me, but I'd agree with that. The night of my show I felt it was much more animated than it seems in the videos - she looks really sluggish and like she's barely moving in those. The lack of talking with the audience was the only thing that I really had a major criticism of; it's not something I'd have ever thought about before but you do miss that interaction when it's not there. I know a lot of her previous concert chats were repetitive between shows but at least she was engaging on that score. |

I consider myself a Britney fan but I would never knowingly pay a lot of money for a 50% + lipsyched show. I just don't understand why she doesn't
give the same amount of practice to live singing as she does to her dance routines.

I think alot of people are going because a) It's her first Australian tour and b) It may well be her only Australian tour.

redhot72 wrote: The funny thing is I hear that she sings live in rehearsals, but when it's time for the show, she lip-synchs. I don't get that. She is highly successful, but I don't see how it doesn't bother her to be thought of as talentless by so many people. The only way she could change that is to start singing live in her shows. IMO, she should do what Beyonce does: Stand still and sing the verses and dance during the choruses of her songs. |

Beyonce doesn't always stand still. She still moves quite a bit.

insomniachollie wrote: Sorry for any confusion! I'm going to use myself as an example. I loved Britney since day 1, she had so much talent back in those days and as years have progressed she went from losing her to voice to now losing her touch in dancing. She has basically lost what she once was amazing at. Most of the other fans probably went to the concert and not even realizing a change, some fans shockingly and don't even ask me how, believe she sings live!!!!! What I said before was definitely a bad explanation, i'm sorry about that. What I meant to say is that most of her fans today have always been loyal fans since day 1, it's hard to let go and some are just so into her, that they would be willing to pay 200$ just to see her and wave hi. When I went to see Britney, I realized she started to look a lot different. Her dancing was just not how it use to be, this sounds really gay, but the choreography for slave 4 U is intense and when she performed during the concert, it was very robotic. I still love her and had a good time but I was able to tell that she lost her touch. She didn't even sing one song live or barely talked to the audience. Other people said that she is better then ever before which raised my eye brows, I wondered if they were on crack when they saw the show. But at the end, Britney is one of those people. no matter who you are, can never stop loving. I still love Britney and have actually accepted her new style of dancing. I would definitely pay 200$ again to see her on her next tour even knowing that she will more than most likely lip sync and her dancing won't be as exciting. But there is always that small chance of hope that maybe she will be better than ever. She still has a long way to go and hopefully one day she truly will be better than ever. Maybe she'll take the criticism and motivate herself to do better and I think thats why most fans don't want to give up on her. It's not the end, there is still such a long way to go in her luscious career. Did I sound any better? I truly am sorry for any confusion and hopefully this was more understandable, just pretend I never said what you quoted |

Nothing to be sorry for hon!!! When you put it like that I definitely get what you mean, there are definitely some of the hardcore fans who haven't
accepted that she's changed. I agree, I think there's a difference between people who've accepted that she has but still like her and people who
are deluded enough to think she's still 2001 Britney.
Thanks for elaborating

I think it's because she's wearing heels now, and can't move in them. In rehearsals, she's wearing comfy shoes, and that's why she looks good and in the beginning of her carreer she was wearing jogging shoes all the time. She started wearing heels around The Onyx Hotel, and that's when the dancing went downhill. Then she should find heels she can dance in or not dance at all. And if she doesn't dance, then she should work on her singing. This is a big deal in Australia because lip synching rarely happens in our industry. |

Wow. People need to get off Britney's dick and mind their own business.. She's allowed to sell herself however she wants as long as its not
"illegal" fuckin government needs to butt out sometimes that's the real problem. Douche bags.
