When you are like looking for someone to be with - do you ever feel like you are too picky?

Ugh, yes. I have this list...that really needs to go. The worst is that I compare all men to my ex-husband sans the cheating. I loved everything about him
until I caught his lying cheating ass.

Well, what makes you think you are too picky? I feel like only 20% of my list is justified. Such as no smoking, no more than 1 baby momma (dont need a K-Fed in
my life) must be employed...
But then I have: no sandals, no tattoos, no nail biting...that I really need to get over |

yes I'm too picky... I won't go out with a smoker.. or someone who likes to get drunk (having a drink or two while out is fine) I won't go out with
someone who doesn't have a good job. It doesn't have to be something big and makes a lot of money but at my age I will not go out with someone who is
happy making min wage. Excessive tattoos and piercings is a big turn off.

No, not yet. Maybe I'll feel that way when I'm 30 and still single.

YES! About everything, not just guys.
I have no list or anything like that, I just am sadly pretty particular. |

HappyCori wrote: I don't really think that I'm picky. I just have standards. Like I don't want someone who is a slacker, who doesn't have an education (and they don't have to have a 4-year degree, they just have to value education), and I want someone who's decently attractive. But sometimes people say I'm too picky because I just won't settle for anyone. I feel that you get a feeling for someone within your first date or two and if I'm not into the guy, I'm not going to pursue it further. Or if I feel as if he isn't someone who I can seem myself being with for a long time, I won't do it. |

Being picky and not willing to settle are two different things. I dont think you are picky, you just have standards. Nothing wrong with that in my opinion. Me,
on the other had...yea, I need to let go of a couple of things
I agree, if you cant see yourself with someone, why waste the time? I am past the dating phase....sounds like you are too. Just stick with you heart. Best wishes |

I've felt that way before my current boyfriend. But I think it just came down to a matter of taste. I seem to get hit on my guys that are not my
"type".
