I really don't think I am cut out for child birth- a lot of people joke about it- but I am dead serious. I don't think I can do it.

Yeah the 6 wk thing is a "STRONG recommendation" but they can't stop you from "not obeying" lol.

O.M.G. now I have more reasons to not give birth!! Although my main reason is a horror story. My bff gave birth 2 years ago and right after they took the after
birth...her uterus came out. Doctor shoved it back in while they were getting ready to take her to the OR.
She didn't tell me anything about the rest of this crap. Contractions after birth and while nursing or squeeze bottles. WTF. |

Of all the women I know that have kids, not one has every discussed birthing. Yet, I know several men who always talk about the birth of their kids. My ex
boss, in particular, would always talk about how gross it was when his wife gave birth. He'd always compare like food to afterbirth.
If you were eating something, he'd come in and start discussing in detail the joys of birth. I think their ultimate goal was seriously to make people puke. |

Ugh. They should really put all of this information on the package of condoms or birth control or something. Or at least give it to you in a pamphlet somewhere. |

Your first bowel movement just hurts like HELL I guess because you're still sore down there. I was terrified to have my first one, I tried to hold it in as
long as possible.

You can get constipated after birth. You are already pretty sore down in that area anyways so when you do finally have a movement, it's hurts really bad!
I will say though, after the first one, the other births aren't quite as painful. At least for me it wasn't. All three births were induced with pitocin and all three were about 13 hours long. I pushed for half an hour with the first one but the last two didn't require hardly any pushing. 2 times for the second and the third one came out so quick, she pushed herself out Still hurts, but the stitches made it worse the first time around.

Yea, I had to get stitches both times and I was scared my first bowel movement was going to tear a stitch.
 With my second, they wore the epidural off since I got a headache from it so I
felt every.single.stitch. the doctor put in It was horrible!
