"I could care less"This bugs the hell out of me! I am guilty of saying "expresso" instead of "espresso". My roomate got on me about that one day at Starbucks.. |

It doesn't really bother me that much, but I tease my best friend for saying "cyupon" instead of "coupon" and "simular"
instead of "similar".

Yea I'm from Philly, but I don't say wuder/wooder. I say wah-ter.
I go to school in the Pittsburgh area though and I hear a lot of people say you guys as "yinz". I HATE IT! And they don't say "to be". Like this needs to be washed. They just say this needs washed. That's annoying too. |

They just omit whole words? That's funny

I haven't read this post but I hate when people say "dill" instead of "deal", "pill" instead of "peel" and words
like that. But the worst is "supposably" instead of "supposedly" - it makes me want to scream at them.

growing up in hawaii you get exposed to a lot of different languages, especially japanese. When you mainlanders pronounce Karaoke "Kah-reeh-oh-kay"
it ticks me off, its supposed to be pronounced "Ka-rah-oh-kay"
and tamagotchi "tuh-muh-GO-chee" |

I don't like when people say ''MonDEE, TuesDEE,''etc., instead of ''MonDAY, TuesDAY,'' etc. It's DAY, not DEE! Paul
McCartney didn't sing; ''YesterDEE, all my troubles seemed so far away...''!

^yeah, I am serious...I know I don't say it "correctly" but I do know that "WAH-ter" (pronunciation like "swatter") is not
the right way to say the word either. Sorry.
I don't like when people say ''MonDEE, TuesDEE,''etc., instead of ''MonDAY, TuesDAY,'' etc. It's DAY, not DEE! Paul McCartney didn't sing; ''YesterDEE, all my troubles seemed so far away...''! That irks my soul too. and my mom always corrects me in saying words with "er" in them...like America or Eric. I pronounce them "A-MARE-icuh" and "AIR-ic" and she says that's wrong and it's "A-MERR-icuh" and "ERR-ic"...I don't care...she still sounds weird to me... |

It's pronounced just how it's spelled. Water.

This isn't a pronunciation thing but I don't understand when people say that they "make good grades" or "make straight As". How
does one "make" a grade/A? I guess it's an American thing?
It also irks me when people say: "I seen it" when they should say "I have seen" or "I saw". Like nails on a chalkboard...

Oh, when people say "yuman" instead of "human". I haven't heard anyone from here say it...they have all been from the Boston area.
