I've been hunting for a good series since I finished The Mortal Instrument series by Cassandra Clare (awesome!) and came across this series by J.R., but the reviews are pretty divided. Has anyone here read them? Also, does anyone have any other recommendations? I've already read Mortal Instruments, Twilight, and Secret Circle. I'm currently reading the Immortals series by Alyson Noel (which is okay), the Evernight series by Claudia Gray (which sucks, but I'm nosy so I still wanna know what happens in the end) and the Southern Vampire series by Charlaine Harris (aka Sookie Stackhouse/True Blood etc.)

The vampires were created by a supreme being, The Scribe Virgin, and in jealousy of her ability of creation, the Omega (another god) created the lessers, humans who gave up their souls. The lessers were made to strictly exterminate the vampires. The Black Dagger Brotherhood are a group of special vampires who protect their species. The humans don't know that vampires exist, and they like that way. The books are about the BDB and their story to reestablish their culture while defeating the lessers. It's way more interesting that I made it sound, I promise. And the love scenes are amazing. No, I have no shame.

But I read the first book in 2 nights, and am now starting the second book. They're really good! And thanks Nico for the avatar compliment
