sooo not cool! If he would have left AFTER I got to see them one last time at MSG in NYC (I had tickets but after he fell that show never happened) that would
have been fine but nooooo! I thought I'd get to see them once more before they retired

STFU! g-d dammit. all I know is they better not even attempt to replace him.
Fortunately, I saw them live twice and it was EPIC. |

Dude, this sucks. Aerosmith is one of the band I never got to see live but always wanted to. They're one of my all-time faves.

aerosmith was and is amazing, but without steven tyler, they are nothing. if he did indeed quit for good, then they all need to accept that and move on. it is
definitely the end of an era, though

Aerosmith is my favorite band of all time. Dude you can't
replace Steven Tyler. Joe you should know better than that. Remember when Steven replaced you when you quit and the one album and tour done without you
failed miserably because the new guitarist didn't have the same chemistry as you and Steven. No one you find will have that chemistry you guys have.
Also should I mention Guns and Roses. While, yes Velvet Revolver did moderately okay... the new G n R failed miserably because well mainly yes because Axel is a coked out douche bag but also because Axel and Slash just had good chemistry together on stage. |

I'm not surprised. I've been reading reports that he hasn't been in contact with the band and when they were on tour he had little contact with
them. I think he was just in rehab for pain pills.
Besides they went through this all before years ago. He'll be back and hopefully they'll have a huge come back a la 90's style. |

This saddens me as Aerosmith has been my favorite band of all time since I was a little kid. I really hope they don't attempt to replace Steven. They are
not Aerosmith without Steven Tyler and if this is the way the cookie crumbles then they just have to consider it the end. Like someone said, it's the end
of an era and if there is one positive thing to say it's they have given us great rock music spanning decades and that will forever be available.
I have never had the chance to see them live and now with this news, looks like I'll never have that chance again. Really sucks. |
