Ha. Yeah I'm ok with the abortion restriction. I've always had good insurance but I've never had a plan that paid for abortion.

Seeing as how this is the first time in 8 years that I've had insurance, neither have I. Besides, if I were ever in a position where I was going to have an
abortion, I would naturally assume that I would be paying for it anyway. I just hope this bill isn't cutting funding for places like PP. I'm gonna need
to read this full bill and get educated. My ass dropped the ball on this.

I need to read it too. I graduate in May and I know, for a short period, I will be losing my current health insurance. For that short period, I will be
looking for a job and I know I am not going to have money for health care. I hope this shit is free for people like me.

The abortion amendment is the biggest pile of shit EVER. Basically, if the healthcare you get through your employer provides abortions, it doesn't get any
government subsidies, which means your employer will drop it. Basically, it's a roundabout way of outlawing abortion. It's disgusting, but most people
are certain it will be dropped in the final bill.

Oh, no, it's not free. In fact, if you don't buy it, you'll just be paying fines, and if you refuse to pay those you'll go to jail.

dawn9476 wrote:You must have been asleep when Obama got up and said if the stimulus passes unemployment won't rise above 8%? And now it's what, over 10%? And that isn't even the real unemployment rate either but it's good enough. And the very few jobs the government have managed to create cost a few hundred thousand dollars a piece to create. Jobs in the private sector cost maybe $50k to create. And it isn't just Fox News Dennis. It'll be everywhere. |

The "health care reform" this nation wants is almost laughable at this point. Just the way people talk about it (they talk about it in fantasy
terms...meaning, everything SOUNDS great on paper...) And most people who talk about it have absolutely no idea wtf is going on to begin with. They only hear
things and then run with it (both sides do this).
But it's a simple fact that you cannot increase services and decrease prices/costs. It's simple logistics, and just a failure waiting to happen. It will be interesting how all of this plays out. |
