What's the stuff you would need immediately for a new house? |

I'm moving into a new house on the other side of the country, so I'm going to need all new stuff. I'm trying to make a list of what I'll need
immediately and what I need/want that can wait for a few pay periods. I literally need EVERYTHING other than cooking pans, eating utensils, and maybe one set
of sheets. Gimme some help, JJB.

Towels, paper towels, broom, mop, bucket, vacuum, sponges, dish soap (regular and dishwasher) other cleaning stuff (Windex, Comet, Pine Sol, etc.)

Damn, I hadn't even thought of a lot of that stuff. I've just been thinking big, like a bed, couch, etc. It's been so long since I've started
an apartment from scratch, and even then I had a roommate's furniture or hand-me-down stuff from my family every time I got a new place.

for a kitchen: plates, salad plates soup bowl or soup plate serving plates glasses, coffee mugs, utensils such as spoons, forks, butter knives, can opener, a chef knife, a paring knife, 2 cutting boards one for chicken and the other for vegetables, beef & Pork, place mats, dish towels, trash can, ziploc bags, foil, saran wrap, plastic containers, pots & pan, cooking utensils,\ big bowl, dishwasher soap, dishwashing liquid, scouring pad or a foam, a dining set unless you wanna sit on the floor or eat in your couch or bed. cleaningsupplies: ( yes you need to clean) pail or bucket broom & dustpan squeegee dustcloths carry all tray feather duster vacuum cleaner old toothbrush brush of all shapes and sizes rubber gloves multi purpose cleanser living room: a floor lamp multitasking lamp coffee table if you have extra money a vase with flowers in it bedroom: pillows comforter fitted sheet pillow cases end table to put the... lamp if you're lucky a tv extras: batteries of all sizes a flashlight hammer screwdriver some screws a ladder extra bulbs different sizes of nails toilet paper paper towels towels always have an extras for a visitor or two your toiletries portable heater an electric fan bathroom: toilet bowl cleaner trash can (again) multipurpose cleaner (it's better to have two that way you juggle it from the 2 areas) air freshener or if you're tight in money a box of matches will do a scouring pad to clean the sink and the shower or tub. |
